DuraBlack® is CO2 laser markable aluminum for durable, on-demand marking for harsh operating environments. In side-by-side tests, DuraBlack outperforms black anodized aluminum and laser markable acrylic tape in select applications.

Product Information:
DuraBlack is an anodized aluminium material for professional identification, front panels, nameplates and technical labelling. The aluminium provides a dimensionally stable, high quality surface and is particularly suitable for applications where dimensional accuracy and a durable, premium appearance are important. DuraBlack® is resistant to sunlight (UV-radiation), abrasion, high-temperatures, salt-spray and chemical exposure.

Max. Temperature for DuraBlack®:

#5976: 350°C
#5977: 260°C (short-term) / 150°C (continuous)

Application and Processing:
Before processing larger quantities, the contrast and marking effect should be tested on a sample. Optionally available with 3M VHB 9460 self-adhesive film.
