Aluminium W is a double sided anodized aluminium alloy with a polished surface, designed for rotary engraving. The high quality anodized layer allows the engraved areas to be blackened with an oxidizing agent without the surface being attacked by the chemical. The AlMg1 metal alloy is specifically suited to milling and engraving applications.

Aluminium W is an anodized aluminium alloy for high quality identification, front panels, nameplates and technical labelling. The material offers high dimensional stability, precise machinability and a durable, premium surface. It is particularly suitable for applications where dimensional accuracy, durability and an attractive appearance are important. Available in a wide range of thicknesses.
Application and Processing:
Before processing larger quantities, the contrast, engraving depth and marking effect should be tested on a sample. Direct marking with a CO2 laser system is not recommended, as the resulting contrast is insufficient.
