Aluminium G (matt)

Aluminium G is a double sided anodized aluminium with a brushed surface, designed for rotary engraving. The AlMg3 aluminium alloy is specifically suited to milling and engraving applications.

Aluminium G is an aluminium alloy for professional identification, front panels, nameplates and technical labelling. The anodized aluminium alloy provides a dimensionally stable, high quality surface and is particularly suitable for applications where dimensional accuracy and a durable, premium appearance are important. Available in a wide range of thicknesses.

Application and Processing:
For rotary engraving, the engraving depth and tool should be selected so that the surface layer is cleanly opened and sufficient depth remains for subsequent colour filling. For small lettering and logos, a consistent focus position, sharp tools and a flat material surface are essential. For series production, a parameter test using the actual colour combination and material thickness is recommended. The high quality anodized layer allows the engraved areas to be blackened with an oxidizing agent without the surface being attacked by the chemical. Direct marking with a CO2 laser system is not recommended, as the resulting contrast is insufficient.
